In July of 06, EMi went to go see her friends' band, Julius C, perform an incredibly special show at Webster Hall. Only meaning to document the event, she brought her shitty 2.0 Megapixel camera with her. It wasn't until later when she got home and looked at the pictures that she realized she had a good eye for taking pictures of live bands. Not one with a photographic eye, she was delighted and resolved to bring a camera to every other show she went to. Unfortunately the universe decided to spite her, and her camera broke shortly after. So she began to borrow her friends' cameras.

In November of 06, EMi snapped some photos of Michigan-based Tally Hall. She meant to put together a small webpage, and post the photos blog-style while recounting the adventure she and her friend Zane had undertaken. But due to finals season and a computer crash, it never happened. But when she saw Tally Hall again in February of 07, the band expressed an interest in seeing the photos she had taken. This inspired her to build up a page not only with the photos from the Tally Hall shows but photos from the Kimya Dawson show she had just attended, and who could leave out the Julius C photos that started it all? Thus Front Row Photography was born, and will continue to live as long as EMi can muscle herself up to the front when she attends a show, and whenever she's near someone who has a good camera!

EMi was born on March 18th, 1986. She currently resides in Mill Neck, which is on Long Island. When she was in school, her major was Asian Studies, but is hoping that when she returns she will major in something art oriented. EMi likes reading, playing Nintendo systems, and doodling when she's supposed to be paying attention. She is working on a novela that hopefully will be published within the next 2-3 years. EMi enjoys pineapples, bananas, music, chocolate soy milk, the colour combination of brightasfuckpink and blue, red plaid, her friends, hedgehogs, and muffins. She does all her HTML coding herself in notepad. EMi shoots with a Canon SD1100 Elph, but is hoping to purchase a DSLR camera soon.
